Its members include health and human services agencies, nonprofit organizations, representatives of local government, and concerned citizens. Among the HCCSC’s most active members are the many agencies that provide shelter, housing, and supportive services to individuals and families in Stark County who are experiencing homelessness or other housing crises.
HCCSC was formed and operates in response to detailed regulations issued by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). By forming a local Continuum of Care, Stark County became eligible to apply for important state and federal funds.
